A charity bingo night in Ludlow raised £1,000 for Autism West Midlands, with prizes donated by local businesses.

The Specsavers Ludlow team held its annual community event at Ludlow Rugby Club. Optical assistant Elliot Webster called the numbers dressed as a Teletubby, and 25 prizes were handed out.

Store director Sophie Wragg said: “Our bingo night is one of our favourite events of the year, so we were thrilled to host it again.”

Samantha Walters, an optical assistant and the store’s community champion, thanked the guests, businesses that donated prizes, bingo caller Elliot and colleague Emma Boyd, who helped organise the event.
