The Mayor's Charity Curry Night, held at Shapla in Ludlow, raised just over £400 for two local charities. More than 30 guests attended the event on 27 July 2026.
The funds support Working Together Ludlow and St Michael's Hospice. Working Together Ludlow empowers adults with learning disabilities, while St Michael's Hospice delivers specialist end-of-life care across the region.
Mayor of Ludlow Councillor Diane Lyle said: "It was a wonderful evening filled with warmth, laughter and generosity. I'd like to thank everyone who joined us and helped raise funds for two charities that make such a meaningful difference to people's lives."
Next fundraising event
The Mayor's fundraising programme continues with an 80s Disco with DJ Toolie on Friday 14 August at Ludlow Brewery. The event will feature throwback music and a retro atmosphere, with proceeds going to the Mayor's chosen charities.
