Ludlow Town Council has announced a second casual vacancy in the Bringewood Ward following the resignation of Councillor Ian Maxwell-Muller on 8th October 2026.
Under the Local Government Act 1972 and The Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006, ten electors from Bringewood Ward may request that the Returning Officer hold an election to fill the vacancy.
What residents need to know
Requests for an election must be submitted within fourteen days of the notice, excluding weekends and bank holidays. The deadline for receipt of requests is Friday 30th October 2026.
If no valid request for an election is received by this date, Ludlow Town Council will proceed to co-opt a new councillor as soon as practicable.
